DeMers' art career began to flourish during her studies at the University of Finlandia in the USA, where she pursued a four-year bachelor’s degree, graduating with honors in 2011. Throughout her academic journey, she garnered recognition through various awards, grants, and scholarships.

 

Inspired by her experiences teaching internationally, she developed a unique motif in her work, frequently incorporating the human hands and face to convey expression and connection. Beyond her personal artistry, she has actively contributed to the art community in roles such as gallery director, member of the Young Women’s Caucus, and art teacher.

 

Her work has been showcased internationally, with exhibitions in the USA, Japan, China, England, and most recently in Malta, illustrating her global reach and influence. This year, DeMers completed a two-week art residency in Gozo.
